The Fiji Police Force is mourning the passing of Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) and Chief of Staff (COS) Sakeo Raikaci, who passed away on 26 April 2025.

Commissioner of Police Rusiate Tudravu expressed deep sadness over the loss, offering the Force’s heartfelt condolences to ACP Raikaci’s family. He paid tribute to the late officer’s 35 years of loyal and dedicated service to policing in Fiji.

ACP Raikaci’s career was marked by unwavering professionalism and leadership, rising through the ranks to hold senior positions including Assistant Commissioner, Acting Deputy Commissioner, and Acting Commissioner of Police during periods of transition.

Having joined the Force on 21 May 1990, ACP Raikaci served in a number of key areas, including the Tavua Police Station, Major Fraud Unit, CID Headquarters, and the Prosecution and Legal Units. He was also a former Director of Internal Affairs and Director of Prosecution, bringing a strong legal background to his work with a degree in Law and Legal Practice.

Commissioner Tudravu described ACP Raikaci as a “formidable leader” whose expertise blended operational policing, prosecution, and intelligence work. His leadership and contributions to the Fiji Police Force and the communities he served have left a lasting impact.

“ACP Raikaci leaves behind a legacy that will be deeply felt not only by his family but by the entire organisation he served so faithfully for 35 years,” said Commissioner Tudravu.

Funeral arrangements will be announced at a later date as the Fiji Police Force continues to honour ACP Raikaci’s service and memory.
