Fiji Warriors ready for today’s opening match in Pacific Challenge

The Fiji Warriors is in high spirits as they wrap up their preparation for the 2024 World Rugby Pacific Challenge.

Coached by Senirusi Seruvakula, who led the Fijiana to Rugby World Cup 2021, he is conscious of the importance of todays opening match.

Defending Pacific Challenge champions, the Fiji Warriors are determined and are focused on delivering best results in Apia this week.

Coach Senirusi Seruvakula is aware of the teams that they will be going up against.

Following three successive runners-up finishes between 2017-2019, Junior Japan won the title for the first time in 2020, beating Fiji Warriors 21-12 in the decisive match in Suva.

Each of the four teams competing in the World Rugby-funded tournament are made up of the best locally based players, helping to give stars of the future an opportunity to develop their skills in a competitive environment.

Seruvakula adds that they will use the tournament as preparation for the World Rugby U20 Championship 2024 will take place in South Africa in June.

The Fiji Warriors will face Tonga A today at 11:30am in the opening match of the 2024 World Rugby Pacific Challenge.
