Fiji Airways Fijian men’s 7s coach Ben Gollings has named one debutant and two returning players in his 13-member squad for the HSBC Perth 7s tournament.

Bua farmer Ropate Rere forced his way into the national team after an impressive performance in the Pacific Games and the McDonald’s Coral Coast 7s tournament for the Fiji Babas side.

Gollings has also named Josua Vakurunabili and Suliano Volivoli to his team.

Waisea Nacuqu is also returning to the side after missing out in Dubai and Cape Town.

The composition of the 7s squad includes other skilled players like Vuiviyawa Naduvalo, Terio Tamani, Pilipo Bukayaro, Joseva Talacolo, Kaminieli Rasaku, and Sevuloni Mocenacagi.

Fiji faces a challenging pool with New Zealand, France, and Samoa in the Perth 7s tournament.

The side departed for Perth this morning.

The Perth 7s will be held from next Friday to Sunday.
