Fiji Water Flying Fijians forward Isoa Nasilasila will have his case reviewed by an Independent Foul Play Review Committee after receiving a red card during Fiji’s Pacific Nations Cup clash against Canada.

Nasilasila was initially sanctioned during Fiji’s Asahi Super Dry Pacific Nations Cup 2026 match against Canada on Saturday, September 12, after an incident involving a ruck contest.

World Rugby confirmed that the forward was cited for an offence contrary to Law 9.20(d), which relates to removing a jackler by rolling, pulling, or twisting.

The red card was issued following an upgrade by the Foul Play Review Office (FPRO), which reviewed the incident during the match.

As a result, Nasilasila’s case will now be heard by an Independent Foul Play Review Committee, which will determine whether any further disciplinary action is warranted.

The outcome of the hearing could impact Fiji’s preparations and squad selection for their upcoming Pacific Nations Cup fixtures.
