France and Argentina Make Strong Starts as World Cup Action Continues

The FIFA World Cup served up another exciting day of action as France and Argentina opened their campaigns with convincing victories, while Norway also made a statement.

France defeated Senegal 3-1 in Group I, with Kylian Mbappé scoring twice and Bradley Barcola adding another as Les Bleus showcased their title credentials.

Defending champions Argentina were equally dominant, cruising to a 3-0 win over Algeria in Group J to begin their title defence on a high note.

Norway completed the day’s action with a commanding 4-1 victory over Iraq, with Erling Haaland scoring twice on his World Cup debut.

Meanwhile, Group J rivals Austria and Jordan are currently battling it out in the tournament’s only live fixture as the race for qualification continues to heat up.
