Women across Fiji have access to free cervical cancer screening, with those aged 30 to 59 being encouraged to make use of services available at operational health facilities.

Cervical cancer is preventable, and regular screening can help identify changes early, allowing women to receive appropriate treatment sooner and improving health outcomes.

Screening services are currently available at selected facilities across the country. In the Western Division, women can access screening at Vidilo House in Lautoka and Black Rock Health Centre in Nadi, with services also being expanded across Western subdivisions.

In the Northern Division, screening is available through facilities serving the Nabouwalu, Macuata, Cakaudrove and Taveuni subdivisions. Women in the Central Division can access services at the Women’s Wellness Centre.

Screening services operate from Monday to Friday, between 8am and 4pm, with a lunch closure from 1pm to 2pm.

Women can pre-register by scanning the QR code provided on the screening poster or visit their nearest operational screening site for more information.

Health authorities are encouraging eligible women not to delay screening, as early detection can make a significant difference in accessing timely care.

For women aged 30 to 59, taking a few minutes to get screened can be an important step towards protecting their health and supporting Fiji’s efforts to eliminate cervical cancer.
