In Fiji:
The Fiji Women’s Crisis Centre (FWCC) has conducted a one-day awareness session with the Fiji Deaf Association, bringing together 43 women from the Western and Northern divisions.
The session focused on gender, violence against women and girls, and human rights, providing participants with an opportunity to learn about their rights, share experiences and discuss issues affecting women.
The programme also aimed to strengthen participants’ understanding of their rights and provide a safe space for open discussion.
The session was facilitated by Senior Counsellor Advocate and Community Educator Lavenia Tuitabu.
