Government services will resume as normal today following an improvement in the weather conditions across the country.

In a statement, the Government said the decision follows advice from the Fiji Meteorological Service that the rain-producing systems affecting the country have gradually moved away.

Permanent Secretaries and Heads of Agencies have been given discretion to implement flexible working arrangements for staff whose homes or travel routes remain impacted by flooding. Flexibility may also be extended to employees whose children are affected by targeted school closures.

Civil servants are being urged to exercise caution when travelling and to avoid crossing flooded roads, crossings, or any unsafe routes.

The government says it will continue to monitor the situation and provide further updates if necessary.
