The Ministry of Health and Medical Services has been allocated $465.6 million in the 2025–2026 National Budget.

According to budget details, the allocation covers upgrades, refurbishments, and new health projects across the country.

Key allocations include:

1. $3.4 million for urban hospitals and institutional quarters
2. $1.4 million for sub-divisional hospital upgrades and enhancements
3. $24,750 for the refurbishment of Savusavu Hospital
4. $337,500 for interior upgrades at Labasa Hospital
5. $562,500 for the demolition and construction of the Dreketi Health Centre
6. $278,719 for Phase 1 of the Tokaimalo Health Centre construction

The Ministry says the funding will strengthen healthcare services and improve access to medical facilities in both urban and rural areas.
