Maintenance work on government staff housing is continuing across Fiji, with the latest upgrades aimed at keeping public service accommodation safe, functional and fit for purpose.
The Public Works Department’s West Joinery Unit, under the Ministry of Public Works, Meteorological Services and Transport, has completed a range of joinery items for the Dravuni Group 5E (CAPEX) Quarters Maintenance Project.
The completed items include sink benches, ironing boards, tables and stools, which are now ready to be delivered and installed at the government housing site.
According to the Ministry, the maintenance project forms part of ongoing efforts to improve government infrastructure by providing durable and practical facilities for public servants, supporting their work in delivering essential services to communities across the country.
