Manoa Kamikamica is expected to be sworn in today as Fiji’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Commerce, Trade and Communications.
Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka confirmed the reappointment, saying the process was delayed only because the required documentation had not been completed.
Rabuka said Kamikamica would be returning to a portfolio he is passionate about and expressed confidence in his leadership, adding that he had emerged from a challenging period stronger and more resilient.
Kamikamica’s return to Cabinet follows the conclusion of recent court proceedings that cleared the way for his reappointment.
The Prime Minister said the move reinforces the Coalition Government’s commitment to advancing its priorities, including economic growth, investment, trade, communications, job creation and expanding opportunities for all Fijians.
