Businessman Imran Khan, also known as “King Khan”, has pleaded guilty to one count of contravening a restraining order under the Proceeds of Crime Act 1997.

Khan appeared before Judge, Justice Thushara Rajasinghe this morning.

The charge alleges that between September 16 and October 1, 2025, at Nasinu, Khan knowingly breached a restraining order issued by the Civil High Court.

It is alleged that Khan disposed of a luxury vehicle by transferring ownership, despite the vehicle being subject to an asset restraining order issued by the court on December 27, 2023.

Khan entered a guilty plea.

The judge sought confirmation that the plea was being made voluntarily and without any threats or promises.

Khan confirmed that he was pleading guilty of his own free will.

The matter has been stood down to 11.30am for summary of facts.
