In Fiji:
A 30-year-old man from Lautoka was arrested at Lomolomo Beach yesterday after police allegedly found him in possession of 177 branches of dried leaves believed to be marijuana.
Police said the suspected marijuana was wrapped in aluminium foil when it was found on the man.
The arrest was made as part of the Fiji Police Force’s ongoing efforts to tackle drug-related activities through its routine operations.
Police are also calling on members of the community to support efforts to combat the illegal drug trade by providing relevant information.
Investigations into the case are continuing.
