The captains of the Vodafone Fiji Secondary Schools Rugby Union (FSSRU) Super Deans Under-18 finalists have been urged to set the standard both on and off the field as they prepare for tomorrow’s highly anticipated national final.

Speaking during the official meet-and-greet breakfast hosted by the Fiji Rugby Union, Flying Fijians interim head coach Senirusi Seruvakula reminded the young leaders that they carry the responsibility of representing not only their schools, but also their families, communities, and the future of Fiji rugby.

Seruvakula emphasized the importance of sportsmanship, discipline, and respect, encouraging the captains to lead by example regardless of the outcome of the match.

He noted that finals are often remembered for moments of character as much as performance, and urged players to uphold the values of the game throughout the contest.

The breakfast brought together players, coaches, officials, and stakeholders ahead of the championship decider, providing an opportunity for finalists to reflect on their journey and the significance of the occasion.

With excitement building towards the national final, all eyes will be on the young leaders to inspire their teammates and showcase the best of school rugby on one of the sport’s biggest stages.
