The Lomaiviti Medical Team conducted school tours in the province of Lomaiviti over the past few weeks.
They completed schools in Koro Island with one secondary school and seven primary schools.
The medical team consisted of 2nd year Medical Interns, team Leader Public Health Levuka, two dentists, three dental therapists, dietician, physiotherapist, vaccination nurse, health inspector and peer educator – all from Levuka Hospital.
The team then moved onto Gau Medical Area to cover Gau and then travelled via outboard motor fiber boat from Gau to Batiki and Nairai islands.
This week the team has returned to Levuka to recover, rejuvenate, rehydrate, and recollect and will continue with Wakaya Island, Makogai Is, Moturiki Is and Ovalau after Easter holidays.
