In Fiji:
A 23-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder after allegedly stabbing his 21-year-old partner at a hotel in Lautoka last month.
Police say the accused was produced in the Lautoka Magistrates Court on Wednesday, where he was charged with one count of attempted murder.
He has been remanded in custody and is expected to reappear in court on the 14th of this month.
The victim remains admitted at Lautoka Aspen Hospital in stable condition.
