A 43-year-old man is expected to appear in the Nadi Magistrates Court today after being charged in connection with the alleged robbery of a taxi driver in Nadi last week.
Police allege the incident took place on 31 July 2026, when the accused assaulted a 52-year-old taxi driver before stealing cash, a mobile phone and the victim’s vehicle.
The stolen taxi was later recovered abandoned at the Navakai Housing area.
The accused has been charged with one count of aggravated robbery and is scheduled to be produced in court today.
