A man in his 30s has become the country’s latest road fatality following a collision in Korolevu, Sigatoka yesterday.
According to authorities, the vehicle he was driving veered onto the opposite lane and crashed head-on with a van.
All occupants were rushed to Sigatoka Hospital, where the man was pronounced dead on arrival. Three others were later transferred to Lautoka Aspen Hospital, where they remain admitted.
A post-mortem will determine the exact cause of death.
Police say investigations are ongoing.
The national road death toll now stands at 18, just one less than this time last year.
