In Fiji:
One person has died following a road accident along Keiyasi Road yesterday.
The victim is believed to have been travelling as a passenger in a carrier with several other people when the vehicle reportedly veered off the road and went down a slope.
The identities of the other occupants, as well as the driver, have not yet been confirmed.
A passerby who discovered the crash site transported the victim to Keiyasi Hospital, where the victim was pronounced dead on arrival.
Police investigations into the circumstances surrounding the accident are continuing.
The latest national road death toll stands at 30, compared with 35 recorded during the same period last year.
