Representatives of the Pacific Women’s Network Against Violence Against Women (PWNAVAW) and the Fiji Women’s Crisis Centre (FWCC), serving as the Network Secretariat, gathered in Nadi last week for a two-day event to officially launch the Pacific Violence Against Women and Girls Prevention Hub.
The initiative was introduced in collaboration with the Pacific Community (SPC), the Asian Development Bank (ADB), and UN Women.
The newly launched Hub is the first digital knowledge platform of its kind in the Pacific dedicated to preventing violence against women and girls.
It provides a central space for prevention resources, practical tools, and shared learning developed by women’s organisations, crisis centres, and practitioners from across the region.
The platform builds on decades of leadership, expertise, and collective efforts by Pacific women to promote prevention-focused approaches aimed at stopping violence before it happens.
