Pacific regional organisations are moving closer to the implementation phase of a major reform process following two days of discussions between CROP Heads, CROP Governing Council Chairs and the Forum Troika Review Committee.

The meetings focused on the committee’s findings on issues that Pacific Islands Forum Leaders had referred for further consideration in 2025 as part of the Review of Regional Architecture (RRA).

The latest discussions mark the final part of the RRA review phase. Attention will now turn towards putting the emerging regional reform agenda into practice based on the work completed so far.

CROP Heads also used their 67th meeting to prepare for the upcoming Leaders-CROP Dialogue at the 55th Pacific Islands Forum Leaders Meeting in Palau.

The preparations are aimed at ensuring CROP agencies present a coordinated contribution to Pacific leaders and Forum members during the dialogue.

The transition from review to implementation represents an important next step for the region, as Pacific institutions work towards translating the outcomes of the RRA process into practical regional reforms.
