People First has been registered as Fiji’s newest political party after the Registrar of Political Parties, Ana Mataiciwa approved the party’s application submitted on Thursday the 20th of November 2025.
Mataiciwa confirmed that 4 objections were received in relation to the
application.
She states that the objections were related to the use of the party name, party symbol, and the content of the party constitution.
And adds that after due assessment, all four objections were dismissed.
However, the objectors have 14 days from today to appeal by decision to the Electoral Commission.
There are now 8 registered political parties with the FEO.
