Vehicle owners are requested to secure their vehicles at all times.
Police officers on patrol have noted a worrying trend, where parked vehicles are left with either windows down, or doors unlocked, making them easy targets for opportunists.
A number of recent motor vehicle thefts were as a result of cars left unlocked or due to the fact that the keys were left inside the car.
Police is pleading with drivers to please lock their cars, even if they think they’ll be away for a few minutes.
Be security conscious, to avoid falling victim to thefts of motor vehicles.
