The Permanent Secretary for Trade, Co-operatives, MSMEs, and Communications recently had the opportunity to firsthand test the new e-ticketing system that is being gradually rolled out across Fiji.
This phased rollout aims to ensure a smooth transition for the public, with the new system offering convenient payment options via an app. The app will also provide users with easy access to their travel history and card balance.
During the testing, the Permanent Secretary also met with the management of Tacirua Transport, who facilitated the process. The discussion centered around their initial experiences with the new system.
The Ministry is encouraging the public to familiarize themselves with the new e-ticketing terminals installed on buses as they prepare for the full switchover to the updated system.
