Naitasiri will put their position at the top of the standings on the line when they face second-placed Nadi at Ratu Cakobau Park this weekend.
Captain Saula Qiolevu says the team has had an intense week of training and is confident the preparation will help them maintain their winning form against an equally strong Nadi side.
“The Naitasiri team this week have been working extra hard because we know that this weekend’ game will be tough. We have been doing a lot of running and a lot skills prep. We have been intensifying training throughout the week and I must commend the boys for their continuing to show up to training.”
With both teams among the leading contenders and only one point separating them, Qiolevu expects a tough battle and is calling on Naitasiri supporters to turn up in numbers and create a strong home advantage.
The 24-year-old says their support could play a key role as Naitasiri look to hold on to top spot.
“I would like to invite all the fans and supporters of Naitasiri Rugby to come out and support the boys on Saturday at Ratu Cakobau Park. We request all your prayers and support on Saturday. Come out in numbers, and help us win.”
