The Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) Women’s Rugby League Team has secured the 2026 Rugby League Defence Pacific Cup series after recording a 14–10 victory over the Australian Defence Force (ADF) in their second match in Australia.

Competing as the Pacifica Women’s Team, the Fijian side followed up their opening 18–12 win with another hard-fought performance to claim their second consecutive victory over the Australians.

Both teams produced strong defensive efforts in the first half, with the scores locked at 0–0 at the break.

The Pacifica Women opened the scoring six minutes into the second half when LCPL Bati crossed the try line. Further tries from OS Cumu and PTE Bese helped secure the 14–10 victory despite a determined fightback from the ADF.

The result confirmed the series win with one match remaining in the three-game contest.

The Pacifica Women will face the ADF for the third and final time on Wednesday, 21 October 2026, as they aim to complete an unbeaten series.

Meanwhile, the ADF defeated the Papua New Guinea Defence Force (PNGDF) in the men’s competition.

The RFMF Men’s Team is preparing to face the ADF at Brisbane’s Suncorp Stadium on Sunday, 25 October 2026. The match will be played as a curtain-raiser to the Rugby League World Cup encounter between the Fiji Bati and the Australian Kangaroos.
