At the Samabula Sikh Temple, worshippers gathered to mark the Shaheedi Diwas of Guru Arjan Dev Ji, remembering his sacrifice for humanity and his message of unity and equality.

The observance focused on the teachings of Guru Arjan Dev Ji, and is observed annually, bringing families and devotees together in remembrance and reflection.

Samabula Sikh Temple Devote, Hardeep Singh highlighted that the day is a reminder to live with respect, unity, and understanding in a diverse society.

“We are celebrating the Shaheedi Diwas of Guru Arjan Dev Ji, who sacrificed his life for humanity. He gave the message of oneness that all human beings are equal. Today we remember his sacrifice and the teaching of unity, so people can come together in peace and harmony” Singh said.

He added that the teachings of Guru Arjan Dev Ji continue to guide the community in promoting respect for all faiths and cultures.

The commemoration served as a reminder that Guru Arjan Dev Ji’s sacrifice continues to inspire a message of unity, respect, and peace that is needed now more than ever.

“Guru Arjan Dev Ji sacrificed for humanity and stood firm on his beliefs. His message is simple, respect all faiths, respect all cultures, and live in unity. When we follow this, we build a society based on equality, peace, and understanding” he added.
