The battle for promotion to the Skipper Cup will reach its conclusion this Saturday, with four teams still in contention for a place in Fiji Rugby’s premier provincial competition.
Cakaudrove currently sit atop the elimination standings with 10 points after completing all three of their fixtures.
At the other end of the table, Bua conclude their campaign without registering a point.
Attention now shifts to Ganilau Park in Savusavu, where Taveuni and Macuata will meet in a crucial encounter. Taveuni occupy second place on eight points, while Macuata remain within striking distance on five.
A victory for Taveuni will guarantee their progression. However, if Macuata emerge victorious; even with a bonus point — Cakaudrove will secure promotion to the Skipper Cup.
The other decisive fixture will take place in Dawasamu, Tailevu, where Northland and Rewa face a straight shootout for promotion. The winner of the contest will earn a place in this season’s Skipper Cup.
Both matches are scheduled to kick off at 3:00pm on Saturday, 27th.
