The Springboks Women are expecting a well-balanced challenge from the Fijiana 15s, praising the hosts for the way they move the ball and combine expansive attack with structured play.

The South African side says Fiji has developed a strong blend of organisation and flair, making them an exciting team to face.

Despite recognising Fiji’s strengths, the visitors say their focus remains on sticking to their own systems and processes ahead of the Test match.

“The expression and the dynamic of how the Fijiana plays, we like how they play the ball around and how they can actually take you out wide and then bring you back tightly. In the past we thought there wasn’t very structured play, but now there’s a great mix of structure and really expressing themselves with bowling and we’re excited to see that. And then obviously we just want to also stick to what we do and how we go about our processes. So we definitely like dominating up front, setting a good foundation on set-piece and our defense is really something that we pride ourselves on.”
