Springboks Women Receive Warm Welcome

The arrival of the Springboks Women marks another milestone for Fiji as the country prepares to host the South African side for the first time.

At a civic reception yesterday, Suva City Council Chief Executive Officer
Tevita Boseiwaqa says it was only fitting to formally welcome the visitors ahead of this weekend’s Test match against the Fijiana 15s.

“Suva is the capital city for Fiji and you know we have to acknowledge that they have arrived in Fiji, in Suva especially. Being a national team, we have to show our hospitality and we should welcome them.”

For the Springboks Women, their welcome highlights the friendly spirit and generosity they had only heard about on social media.
