The South Pacific Stock Exchange (SPX) has opened nominations for its 2026 Annual Awards, with more than 20 awards planned to recognise excellence in corporate reporting and contributions to Fiji’s capital market.

The awards programme features two main categories: the Annual Report Awards, which recognise excellence in corporate annual reporting, and the Capital Market Excellence Awards, which acknowledge achievements and contributions to the growth of the local capital market.

Entries for the Annual Report Awards close on 30 October 2026. Applications are free and must be submitted online through the SPX website, with eligible organisations required to complete a questionnaire and provide their annual reports for assessment.

Tickets for the awards night are also available online at www.spx.com.fj.

The event will be held on Saturday, 14 November 2026, at the Grand Pacific Hotel in Suva, bringing together corporate leaders, investors, financial institutions and other industry stakeholders.

Following the return of the awards in 2025, this year’s programme has been expanded to offer more opportunities for organisations and individuals to receive recognition.

The Annual Report of the Year category will now award Gold, Silver and Bronze winners among both listed and unlisted companies. An independent judging panel, chaired by SPX Director Lorraine Seeto, will assess the entries.

The Capital Market Excellence Awards will recognise participants based on market activity, performance and their contributions to developing Fiji’s capital market, with recipients selected by SPX.

Five SPX-listed companies will also be recognised for reaching significant listing milestones. The programme will again feature the Lifetime Achievement Award, introduced in 2025 to honour individuals whose long-standing contributions have helped shape the country’s capital market.

SPX Chief Executive Officer Sheraj Obeyesekere said the awards provided an opportunity to recognise the efforts of companies and stakeholders while promoting transparency, accountability and high standards across Fiji’s corporate sector.

He encouraged organisations to showcase their reporting achievements and invited the wider business community to attend the event.

The SPX Annual Awards 2026 is supported by the Reserve Bank of Fiji, Sun Stockbrokers and ATH Group of Companies as Gold Sponsors; Merchant Finance and the Fiji Institute of Chartered Accountants as Silver Sponsors; and Gaunavou Investments Company, Fiji Ports, Kontiki Finance, VB Holdings and Axellerate Sports as Bronze Sponsors.

Fiji TV and The Fiji Times are the event’s official media partners.
