The Fiji Meteorological Service has issued a Strong Wind Alert for parts of the country and all Fiji waters as strong winds are expected to impact affected areas.
Residents are urged to remain alert, secure any loose items around their homes and properties, and keep up to date with the latest weather information.
The forecast strong winds are also expected to produce rough and dangerous sea conditions, especially for small boats and other vessels.
Mariners are being advised to avoid unnecessary travel if conditions are unsafe and ensure their boats and equipment are properly secured.
Those already at sea are encouraged to closely monitor weather conditions and follow instructions issued by the relevant authorities.
The public is also being reminded not to take unnecessary risks while the alert remains in effect.
