Student leaders from across the Western Division have been urged to use digital platforms responsibly and become catalysts for ethical change in a world increasingly shaped by technology.

Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption (FICAC) Manager Corruption Prevention, Ms. Kolora Naliva, delivered this message at the closing of the 2025 Young Leaders Seminar held at Xavier College in Ba. The event gathered Head Boys and Head Girls from various secondary schools for two days of leadership development and ethics training.

“We live in a time when information is more accessible than ever, and with that comes both opportunity and responsibility,” Ms. Naliva said.

She encouraged students to advocate for truth, challenge corruption, and lead with integrity both online and offline.

“Your voices matter, and your actions will define the future of ethical leadership. What we have discussed here must now be transformed into action in your schools and communities,” she added.

Participants were also reminded of their potential to influence others and to use technology as a tool for positive social change.

FICAC’s Manager Investigation West/North, Mr. Uwate Biutanaseva, presented certificates to participants at the end of the seminar.

The Commission also thanked the guest speakers, teachers, and facilitators for their support in guiding the next generation of ethical leaders.
