The Fiji Secondary Schools Rugby Interim Committee has confirmed a two-venue programme for the Vodafone Super Deans and Weet-Bix Raluve semi-finals, with selected matches to be played alongside the Vodafone Fijiana’s second Test against the Springbok Women this weekend.

Supported by the Ministry of Education and the Fiji Rakavi Football Union, the initiative is aimed at providing young players with the opportunity to experience a major rugby event while strengthening Fiji’s school rugby development pathway.

Interim Committee representative Biu Colati says the programme will give student-athletes a unique opportunity to perform on the same stage as the national team.

He says exposing young players to an international rugby environment will inspire them and contribute to their growth as they progress through the school rugby ranks.

Churchill Park in Lautoka will host four semi-finals, beginning with the Vodafone Super Deans Under-14 clash between Ratu Navula College and Ratu Kadavulevu School, followed by the Under-19 semi-final between Ratu Navula College and Lelean Memorial School.

The Weet-Bix Raluve Under-16 semi-final between Sigatoka Methodist College and St Vincent College will precede the Vodafone Fijiana’s second Test against South Africa at 1pm, before the day’s final match sees Suva Grammar School take on Ra High School in the Vodafone Super Deans Under-18 semi-final.

The remaining Vodafone Super Deans and Weet-Bix Raluve semi-finals will be played at the HFC Bank Stadium, Buckhurst Ground 1 and Bidesi Ground, with kick-off times and venue allocations to be announced by the organisers.
