The Fiji Pearls have been taking a unique approach to preparing for the upcoming Pacific Games in Honiara next month.
Last weekend, the squad participated in an immersive team bonding activity where they learned the art of mat weaving.
This was a unique experience for the team, as they were able to acquire valuable skills that resonated with the principles of playing netball.
With dedicated practice, they honed their weaving skills and drew parallels between the precision required in netball and the artistry of traditional mat weaving.
Netball Fiji gave a huge shoutout to the “Soqosoqo Vakamarama ni Yasana O Kadavu” for organizing this activity.
The South Pacific Games is set to kick off on November 19th, and the Fiji Pearls side will depart for the Solomon Islands on the 25th of next month.
