Team Fiji has received Expressions of Interest from nine local sporting bodies for the 2024 Paris Olympics.
At this stage, only the men’s and women’s 7s rugby teams and sailing have already qualified for the event.
Chef de Mission Sale Sorovaki says for other sports such as athletics, archery, boxing, judo, swimming, table tennis, and weightlifting they’ll go through qualifying events to make it to the Olympics.
Sorovaki says they are expected to finalize everything by March 30th.
Team Fiji will be departing for Paris in early July, with a pre-games training camp in Devon, France, facilitated by the Oceania National Olympic Committee.
The team will then check into the Olympic village on July 18th, just over a week before the Paris Olympics commence on July 26th.
