Team Fiji Swimmer David Young has set a new personal best, at the “2024 Paris Olympic Games”.
Young won his Men’s 50m freestyle heat with a time of 22.71secs at the Olympics.
His previous record was 22.87secs, set at the ‘2023 World Aquatic Championships’ in Japan.
David Young has made the nation proud by setting the nations best record in the Men’s 50m freestyle at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
Coach, Willie Elaisa commended Young’s achievement saying that the experience of having to compete with world class swimmers and finishing first in the heat ,has been the highlight of their journey.
Young has mapped out his plans for the future after the Olympic Games.
Young finished off 40th out of 73 swimmers after winning heat 5.
