Telecom Fiji has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Fiji’s business community after signing on as the platinum sponsor for the TOPEX Conference 2026.

The sponsorship was formalised today ahead of the annual conference, which has become one of Fiji’s leading business and leadership forums, bringing together executives, entrepreneurs, policymakers and industry leaders.

Telecom Fiji Chief Marketing Officer Shaleshni Chand says the company believes strong businesses and strong communities are key to building a stronger Fiji.

She says the conference provides an important platform for collaboration, knowledge sharing and dialogue at a time when businesses are navigating an increasingly digital and connected world.

Chand says Telecom Fiji remains committed to helping businesses improve productivity and growth through digital transformation, supported by services such as fibre connectivity, cloud solutions, cybersecurity, mobile communications and digital collaboration platforms.

She adds that the company’s continued partnership with TOPEX reflects its commitment to empowering businesses with technology that enables long-term success.

Meanwhile, Fiji Commerce and Employers Federation President Rowen Taio says the conference has grown significantly over the past decade.

Taio says what began with fewer than 20 participants more than ten years ago has expanded to a capacity event of around 400 delegates, with registrations selling out each year.

He says attendance figures from last year’s conference showed around 40 percent of participants were first-time attendees, while about 30 percent had attended more than three times, highlighting the conference’s continued relevance to Fiji’s business community.

Taio says TOPEX has evolved into a platform where business leaders, government representatives and non-government organisations discuss major economic and business issues affecting the country.

He says this year’s conference will continue the interactive format introduced last year, including fireside discussions on topics such as the economy, labour migration, trade and industry development.

Taio adds the event also showcases successful Fijian-owned businesses and provides an opportunity for business leaders to learn from international speakers, exchange ideas and build partnerships that support economic growth.
