Motorists travelling through Nasese should prepare for traffic changes as a partial road closure takes effect between the Queen Elizabeth Drive junction and Crawford Avenue from Friday, October 30.
The Fiji Roads Authority (FRA) says the closure will last approximately three months to allow road widening and utility relocation works under the Ratu Sukuna Road upgrading project.
The restriction will remain in force 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including outside normal working hours.
Drivers will be directed along alternative routes via Crawford Street, Gardiner Road, Charlton Avenue and Storck Street.
FRA is urging motorists to follow detour signs, comply with traffic controllers’ instructions and take extra care when travelling near the construction area.
The authority has apologised for the disruption and thanked residents and road users for their patience as the upgrading works proceed.
