The Rooster Chicken Fiji Warriors will replace three of its players after sustaining serious injuries during their first game against Tonga A in the 2024 Pacific Challenge in Apia, Samoa.
Fiji Warriors fly-half Aisea Nawai sustained an injury on his ankle while outside centre, Sivo Lumelume and winger Bronson Lee suffered ACL injuries.
Fiji Warriors head coach Senirusi Seruvakula confirms that these players have been ruled out of the tournament.
“Nawai twisted his ankle so he is out of the tournament and the two players that have sustained ACL injuries have also been ruled out of the season, “Seruvakula says.
Seruvakula adds that Nawai is back in Fiji today and the two replacements will fly out to Samoa tomorrow.
The Rooster Chicken Fiji Warriors will face Japan XV in their next game on Monday,15th April at 11:30am.
