Tuicolo Appointed Fiji Consul in Queensland

Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka has officially commissioned Dr. Vilaseri Tuicolo as Fiji’s new Honorary Consul to Queensland, describing the role as one that demands trust, leadership, and a strong commitment to public service.

Speaking during the commissioning ceremony, Prime Minister Rabuka said the position carries significant responsibility and requires an individual who can effectively represent Fiji’s interests while serving the wider community.

He said Dr. Tuicolo’s extensive experience as a medical practitioner and his years of service to the Fijian community in Queensland made him well-suited for the role.

According to the Prime Minister, Dr. Tuicolo has built a strong reputation within both the Fijian and Australian communities through his contributions to healthcare, community development, and support for the Fijian diaspora.

Rabuka noted that the appointment reflects not only Dr. Tuicolo’s professional achievements but also his ability to foster connections and advocate for Fiji’s interests abroad.

He expressed confidence that Dr. Tuicolo would carry out his duties with dedication and professionalism while helping to strengthen relations between Fiji and Queensland.
