Two individuals, including the partner of the deceased, have been jointly charged with murder following the death of a woman in her 30s in Nausori over the weekend.
Authorities say the victim was brought to Nausori Health Centre on Saturday by her partner, who claimed she had sustained injuries.
Medical staff pronounced her dead upon arrival, prompting an immediate police investigation.
Police allege that the woman was picked up from Nausori town on the night of May 16 by her partner.
Investigations later revealed that she was allegedly assaulted by both her partner and another woman, also in her 30s, which resulted in fatal injuries.
The two accused will appear at the Nausori Magistrates Court this afternoon.
