Two people remain in critical condition at Nadi Hospital following a three-vehicle collision in Martintar, Nadi on the night of May 23, 2026.
Police say a 21-year-old man from Nadi allegedly attempted to overtake a vehicle driven by a 28-year-old woman when his vehicle clipped the side of her car.
The impact caused her vehicle to veer into the opposite lane, where it collided with another vehicle driven by a 42-year-old man who was travelling with two passengers.
The 42-year-old driver and a 38-year-old female passenger sustained serious injuries and are currently admitted in critical condition at Nadi Hospital.
Meanwhile, the alleged suspect and a 16-year-old boy who was travelling in the third vehicle were later transferred to Lautoka Hospital for treatment.
Investigations into the incident are continuing.
