Two men have died in separate road incidents today, bringing Fiji’s national road death toll to 22 for the year.
In Ba, a hit-and-run is under investigation after the body of a man believed to be in his 40s was found along Koronubu Road near Rarawai Flats around 3am.
Police are working to identify the victim and locate the driver involved. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Western Division Command Centre at 9905 457.
In a second incident in Korovou, a man in his 20s died after his vehicle veered off Lodoni Road near Nananu Village. Despite being rushed to hospital with the help of the National Fire Authority, he was declared dead on arrival.
Investigations into both fatalities are ongoing.
