Two people have died following a motor vehicle accident along Wailoaloa Road in Nadi this morning, Sunday, 4 August.
The two were passengers in vehicle driven by a 30-year-old from Lovu in Latuoka.
It is alleged that the suspect whilst trying to overtake another car, had lost control, resulting in the accident.
As a result the two men died, while the remaining three were rushed to the Nadi Hospital as they sustained serious injuries.
Director Traffic, Senior Superintendent of Police Mitieli Divuana said initial information gathered regarding the cause of the accident point to alleged speeding and alcohol.
Investigations continue.
