In Fiji:
The Health Ministry says there is a typhoid outbreak at Lau Settlement, Ra.
There have been six cases from three linked households from September to December and one person has died.
If you have any of the following symptoms – high fever, weakness, general discomfort (malaise), stomach pain, diarrhoea, headache, loss of appetite and a persistent cough – present yourself at the nearest health facility.
