Co-captain Matila Vocea has praised the Crest Fiji Blacks after they secured their third straight win at the Vodafone Arena yesterday.

Vocea credited the victory to the team’s unity, saying the players backed each other from the first whistle to the last, and she was proud of the effort they produced to come away with another impressive result.

The Crest Fiji Blacks beat the Auckland Fijians scoring 58-43.

“The girls played amazing. They had each other’s backs from the first whistle until the last whistle. I’m really proud of them and I thank them for pulling off a great win. I think they adjusted well, really.”

Vocea says the team’s close bond off the court and competitive mindset on it have been key to their success, while also thanking supporters for their unwavering belief and backing as the players proudly represent Fiji.

“I love how the girls, as we go out, we’re friends. But when it comes to the court, it’s game time. We leave everything on the court and when we come out, we’re all friends again. Thank you so much for coming out. It means the world to us. To see that Netball is being loved by everyone but us.”
