Vodafone ATH Fiji Foundation and partners facilitate UK’s largest PhysioNet consignment handover to Spinal Injury Association.

In a remarkable demonstration of commitment to supporting individuals with disabilities, the Vodafone ATH Fiji Foundation is poised to hand over its 23rd consignment, valued at $1.2 million. This significant initiative is in partnership with PhysioNet UK and the British High Commission. It is dedicated to benefiting the Spinal Injury Association of Fiji.


The handover ceremony, a collaborative effort with PhysioNet UK and the British High Commission, is scheduled at 3 Brown Street, National Council for Persons with Disabilities. It is scheduled for Friday, January 12, 2024, starting at 11:00 AM.

The 40-footer consignment, comprising mobility devices and medical supplies, will be distributed to communities, charities, hospitals, village health nurses, dispensaries, and individuals across Fiji. This comprehensive initiative aims to empower individuals with disabilities, fostering independence in their daily lives and alleviating burdens on families.


Through its 23rd Consignment and the Vodafone World of Difference program, the Vodafone ATH Fiji Foundation has provided direct support exceeding $1 million to the Spinal Injury Association. This initiative contributed mobility devices and medical supplies valued at over $30 million but substantially impacted Fiji’s communities. The Foundation’s commitment to enhancing the lives of individuals with disabilities is evident in the significant resources provided, emphasizing the importance of corporate social responsibility.


The handover ceremony will witness the presence of Manarusa Vanabale, Director of Vodafone ATH Fiji Foundation, representing the Foundation alongside PhysioNet UK and the British High Commission. This collaboration reflects our commitment to fostering inclusivity and accessibility within the Fijian community.
