The Water Authority of Fiji (WAF) has confirmed that the Savura Raw Water Pump Station, which was repaired and recommissioned yesterday afternoon, had to be taken offline again later in the evening due to unresolved technical issues.
As a result, the Tamavua Water Treatment Plant continues to receive limited raw water inflow, impacting water production and reservoir levels.
This has led to low pressure and intermittent supply in several areas, particularly those located in higher elevations.
WAF has implemented targeted valve operations to manage distribution, ensuring that key areas—including Upper Nagatugatu, Tacirua, and lower zones from Lami to Panoramic—continue to receive supply. However, customers in distant and elevated areas remain affected.

Restoration Efforts Underway:
The WAF teams are working around the clock to resolve the pump issue, with a target to restore full inflow by midday today. Once the issue is fixed, efforts will focus on stabilising production and replenishing reservoirs across the affected network.
In the meantime, water carting services have been deployed to support the most affected communities, with priority given to schools, healthcare facilities, and essential infrastructure.
