In Fiji:
A 48-year-old woman has been charged in connection with the death of a 19-year-old woman following a fire incident in Levuka Street, Samabula, on 24 December 2025.
Police allege the accused intentionally started the fire at her flat after becoming dissatisfied with a previous agreement to purchase the property, which did not proceed.
The 19-year-old victim, who was inside one of the flats at the time, was unable to escape the fire and later died.
The accused has been charged with one count of murder and is expected to appear before the Suva Magistrates Court this afternoon.
